Be Heard

We had been wanting to participate in a photoshoot with the NOH 8 Campaign for 16 years and we finally had the time to make it happen. We are part of the LGBTQ Community and we are tired of hiding, our community is under attack and we have chosen to make ourselves visible !   -Liam

The reason I decided to participate in this photoshoot as Spider-Man ; because no other person who cosplays Spider-Man would ever be willing to use their platform to stand up for LGBTQ rights . Growing up I didn't have any superhero role model that gave me affirmation or validation when I knew that I was gay since I was 5. So me posing as Spider-Man with the pride flag

We are from Bangalore, our daughter was born there and the sex assigned to her at birth was male. Right from a very young age she was very comfortable with girls and would befriend them very easily and never liked to play any of the boy sports. But school became harder for her, even the teachers would discipline her and ask her not to play with girls. So we moved to California

I'd wanted to pose for NOH 8 for a while and was excited to have the opportunity to do so when the campaign came to West Hollywood . However, I had a long moment of debate with myself about wearing a mask for my picture. As you see, the mask won . After all, it's part of my everyday attire. My mask – in this photo, a bright yellow one that always makes me think of a sunshine
