4th Annual National Educator Conference Focused on LGBTQIA Youth
The NOH8 Campaign is proud to be a sponsor of CESCaL’s 4th Annual National Educator Conference focused on LGBTQIA Youth. Presented by The Center for Excellence in School Counseling and Leadership (CESCaL), this conference is designed to empower school counselors and all educators to support their LGBTQIA students. The conference will be held February 15-17, 2013 in San Diego, CA. The NOH8 Campaign will be hosting a photo shoot for conference attendees on Friday, February 15th (only) from 9pm to 10:30pm. Register Today at: www.lgbtqia2013.org On February 15-17, 2013, educators from around the world will join together in San Diego, CA for the fourth annual conference titled: Supporting Students ~ Saving Lives. WHO SHOULD COME: School Counselors, Elementary and Secondary Teachers / School Psychologists, School Administrators, School Nurses, Educational Support Professionals, School and Community Based Mental Health Professionals, Marriage and Family Therapists, Social Workers, and Licenced Professional Clinical Counselors. GOALS OF THE CONFERENCE Teach & Empower Educators With: - Knowledge of the laws and rights of LGBTQIA students and resources available to students and families - Attitudes that empower educators to take personal responsibility as advocates for LGBTQIA youth - Skills to access resources and to create safe, welcoming and inclusive schools for al LGBTQIA youth JOIN THE NOH8 CAMPAIGN ON FRIDAY NIGHT! Conference Attendees will have the opportunity to have their NOH8 portraits taken around 9:00 PM in the Hotel Lobby, immediately following the opening plenary and awards ceremony.
