Judge Vaughn Walker has just released his ruling on the stay imposed on his decision to repeal Proposition 8. The stay indefinitely prevented same-sex couples from being able to marry during the process of appealing Judge Walker's decision.

Judge Walker announced today that he will be lifting the stay effective August 18th @ 5PM! That means that courts in California will once again have the power to marry same-sex couples, many of whom have already been lining up at City Halls all over the state in anticipation of today's announcement. While the stay has been lifted, same-sex marriages will not be able to resume until after August 18th.
