Whether you're celebrating Valentine's Day with someone you love, hanging out with some friends, or spending some quality time on your own, we hope each and every one of you take the time today to appreciate the role that love plays in your life.
We at the NOH8 Campaign have been fortunate enough to witness the ways love can empower and mobilize an entire group of people in cities all over the United States to stand up for their rights and the rights of the people they care about, and today we celebrate the spirit of all our supporters. Sure it might sound a little bit cheesy, but those who have been a part of the NOH8 open shoots know what we're talking about.
Being in the same room with hundreds of people united in their respect and appreciation for the lives and rights of their fellow human beings to love is a unique experience; one that excites us to go to each and every city. The faces may change, but that same positive atmosphere that encourages everyone to be themselves and celebrate who they are remains the same. Our supporters understand that being able to express their love is just as important as love itself, and we're proud to have them as a part of our growing project.
Tell someone you love them today. It can be a friend, a parent, a sibling, and yes - even a lover! Take the opportunity to be open about your feelings and let someone know that regardless of their plans this Valentine's Day -- they are loved. You might make someone's day. :)
