I will not stop

Growing up in the 70's and 80's with the brutal beatings and murders of our LGBTQ brothers and sisters, losing so many friends to HIV/AIDS, I have gone to too many funerals. I am a survivor, a warrior, and an activist.  I am a mestiza mom, and a wife.  Although I am now disabled, I continue to fight for all children, especially those who are abused and neglected, our LGBTQ+ children, and more. I will not stop.

I proudly wear my FREE MOM HUGS whether it's PRIDE or not, because I know what it's like not to have a parent who loves you.  At the Pride Parade, I gave more hugs to even more people than ever before.  To the point that my young son started shouting that I was giving "Free Mom hugs tonight! Tomorrow they're $1.00!" as a joke.  If you see me, and I'm wearing my FREE MOM HUG T-shirt, please feel free to ask if you need one.  It doesn't need to be Pride.
