"I have faced adversity my entire life it seems. My parents were divorced when I was a baby, surviving many a custody battle, abuse, neglect. Being a tomboy growing up, guys were always my competition and I made it a point to be better than them in everything. Even as an adult in the workplace, I found myself working hard to prove I was just as qualified to do anything men could do.

I was a late bloomer when it came to recognizing my sexuality and often kept it hidden because I wanted to be known for what I accomplished and not for who I loved. Music was always my saving grace so it only made sense that I found my voice in the music industry. Nowadays I use my gift of networking and compassion to stand up for equality and encourage people to follow their hearts, chase their dreams, and love unconditionally. It's time for everyone to 'be the change'."
