Last week, the NOH8 Campaign was saddened to hear of the passing of South Florida's Stonewall Pride Co-Founder and local journalist Bob Kecskemety. He died on the evening of Wednesday, May 30th at the age of 61 after a long battle with bone and bladder cancer.

Bob was an active member of his local LGBT community, as well as a long-time NOH8 supporter who continued to work as both a writer and videographer. He was personally responsible for bringing the campaign to Ft. Lauderdale in June 2010 when he invited NOH8 Co-Founders Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley to be Grand Marshals of Stonewall Pride. His actions made Florida only the fourth state to host the NOH8 Campaign when we were only beginning to tour the country, and we continue to remain grateful to Bob for the opportunity to introduce NOH8 to the Southeast for the first time.

We at the NOH8 Campaign remember Bob today.

This weekend's Stonewall Summer Pride Festival will be held in Bob Kecskemety's honor.
