In honor of Veterans Day and all of the men and women who risk their lives to serve and defend our country, this blog features service members of OutServe - the association of actively-serving LGBT military personnel - and a special BE HEARD statement by Danny Ingram, National President of American Veterans for Equal Rights.

As gay storylines continue to become increasingly commonplace in primetime, the once-held stigma of an actor playing a gay character has started to fade. We applaud these actors for not only embracing their roles with pride, but for using their platform to advocate for equal rights.
