Israeli Politician Speaks Out Against LGBT-Phobia in Russia
Tuesday, August 20th, 2013"In recent weeks there has been a sweeping wave of LGBT phobia in Russia. It started with harsh police brutality during the underground pride parade in Moscow, continued in hate laws that de facto criminalize being openly gay, and peaked in the exposure of violent groups that lurk and tempt boys in order to abuse and murder them.
While the world, including the Israeli Foreign Ministry, remains silent - the civil society is fighting back. An international petition that demanded the Olympic Committee to transfer the Winter Olympics in January from Sochi was filed yesterday by @allout with 300,000 signatures, the boycott of Russian vodkas in bars has only intensified, and this Saturday a huge demonstration in front of the Russian Embassy in Tel-Aviv will occur.
Two months ago I attended a NOH8 photo shoot. This organization raises awareness, fights against LGBT phobia and promotes equality in rights to the gay community. Its main goal is to stop the hate towards LGBT. And I invite all of you stand in solidarity and support the LGBT community trampled under the fingernails of the Russian government, and help increase the international pressure on the authorities."

לפני כחודשיים השתתפתי בצילומים לקמפיין של ארגון "NOH8", הארגון עוסק בהעלאת המודעות, בלחימה נגד להטופוביה וקידום השוויון וזכויות הקהילה.
הארגון שם במרכז העשייה שלו את המטרה להפסיק את השנאה. ואני מזמינה את כולכן/ם להגיע ולתמוך בסולידריות בקהילה הגאה שנרמסת תחת ציפורני השלטון הרוסי, ולעזור בהפעלת הלחץ הבינלאומי על הרשויות.
