EQUALITY PREVAILS IN ELECTION 2012
Wednesday, November 7th, 2012Dear NOH8 Supporters,
After a historic election civil rights groups are calling a landslide victory for equality, today we're excited to see the amazing momentum for change in America!
MAINE, MARYLAND and WASHINGTON became the first states in history to win marriage equality at the ballot, while MINNESOTA struck down a ban on marriage equality in their own state.
In WISCONSIN, Tammy Baldwin became the first openly gay Senator in the history of the United States.
And of course, President Obama - who became the first President in history to support marriage equality earlier this year - was re-elected to another term.
While there remains much work to be done to achieve full equality across these United States, we celebrate this incredible push for equality. Seeing just how far civil rights have come in the past four years is nothing short of humbling, and we're so grateful to be a part of it.
We're proud to move forward with President Barack Obama - and we're proud to move forward with each and every one of you, too.
Yours in Equality,
Team NOH8
